GAA and Football

In St. Catherine's NS the children train every week.

Paul from the GAA County Games Development Department trains with each class for six weeks blocks during the year. St Maur's GAA club is just a short walk from the school. As well as playing throughout the year, the children also participate in annual local school blitz. Here you can see some photos of the children practicing their hurling skills https://StCatherinesNS.ie/Page/Hurling/58937/Index.html

Rush Athletic F.C. is located at the entrance to St. Catherine's estate. St. Catherine's NS participate in the school leagues and use these grounds to host matches.

For those wanting to join a team we have training after school with both teachers and parents sharing their love and knowledge of the sports.

We are not short of space or places to train. With a large hall, two yards on site we also have the benefit of the local park adjacent to the school. Fingal county council has developed St. Catherine's Park adjacent to the school with a playground, walking track and all weather pitch which the school has use of throughout the year.
